The ELA Director will monitor, direct, control, and coordinate the
district’s ELA programs, curriculum and activities in collaboration with the
Teaching and Learning Departments and school teams.

Develop, implement, staff, manage and optimize operational support
processes and legal monitoring functions to support the District’s English
Language Acquisition (ELA) programs and related legal requirements. Monitor and
oversee the distribution of information related to ELA programs at all schools.
Manage all activities related to ELA Program Plan regulatory requirements.
Manages and oversees specific English Language Acquisition (ELA)
initiatives/projects to ensure that activities are carried out in accordance
with established specifications, schedules, and budgets; coordinates
interdepartmental functions in order to minimize delays; meets with program
team members on a regular basis to review program status and plan future
actions. Promotes assigned projects internally and externally through
appropriate avenues. Facilitates the project intake process for the ELA
Department ensuring alignment to defined goals and priorities.

Provide project management delivery support on assigned ELA
initiatives and projects. Coordinate, administer, evaluate and report on
processes specific to assigned ELA projects.
