Call for Proposals

The Colorado Association for Bilingual Education (CO-CABE) invites you to submit a proposal to present at the Annual CO-CABE Conference, February 24th and 25th, 2021. This year’s conference will be completely online.

The virtual presentations for this conference should relate to our theme – Leading for Equity and Excellence through Bilingual Education. All proposals should correspond to one or more of the following topic areas:

  • Best practices – Elementary and/or Secondary
  • Technology in the classroom / Virtual Instruction
  • Social Justice, agency, and advocacy in schools
  • Sociocultural competence and culturally responsive teaching
  • Bilingual/multicultural identity development
  • Special Education for Bilingual Learners
  • Effective leadership practices
  • Instructional Program models
  • Impactful Family Engagement practices
  • Classroom-based research with clear implications for practice or policy

Sessions will last 1 hour and 15 minutes. Presenters are responsible for their own internet access at their remote locations. You will notice that there is an option to either submit pre-recorded sessions or present live on the day(s) of the conference. All pre-recorded sessions must be edited to last approximately 60 minutes. All approved presenters must be available the day of the conference for Q&A. The live sessions will be recorded and available in the Conference Library.

All proposals will be considered and reviewed by the Conference Planning Committee. Proposals must be received no later than Friday, December 11th, 2020 in order to be considered. Notification of acceptance will be given by January 8th, 2021.
