Parent Empowerment Picnic/Empoderamiento de los padres

The Colorado Association for Bilingual Education (CO-CABE) in collaboration with Denver public Schools, and DCTA (Denver Classroom Teachers Association) are hosting its annual Parent Empowerment Picnic. August 11th from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. students, families, teachers and community members are invited to attend the picnic held at the Children’s Museum of Denver. The time would allow for families to meet CO-CABE, DPS and DCTA people in an informal setting and visit prior to the school year. Community resources are invited to come and share information that could be helpful for the families during the school year. This opportunity is a chance to meet people that can help as the school year moves forward parents will know who they can connect with when they have questions or concerns. The Children’s Museum has graciously donated 100 tickets (first come first serve) for attendees to enjoy the museum all day.
