Why is it important to consider families’ cultural backgrounds? What do schools and educators need to be mindful of to effectively maintain culturally responsive family engagement? What might be some of the pitfalls of traditional family engagement models relating to culturally and linguistically diverse families? What are some strategies to involve families in the classroom? We will discuss these questions and more.
