The Colorado Association for Bilingual Education is committed to the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and all the amazing educators, administrators, parents and students that we have the honor of working with.

In response to the rapidly evolving events in Colorado surrounding COVID-19 (novel coronavirus), it is our responsibility to take steps that will inhibit rather than accelerate the spread of this virus. 

The State of Colorado and the CDC have issued guidance recommending social distancing as a key barrier to the spread of the virus.

As a measure to protect the health and safety of our community we must cancel the 2020 Concurso de Deletreo Colorado State Spanish Spelling Bee.  We have also been informed that the 2020 National Spanish Spelling Bee has also been cancelled. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and provide updates on future events as necessary.

We urge each of you to remain safe and healthy and to follow the guidelines issued by public health officials.
