The Congress of Hispanic Educators proposed a series of meetings or workshops that provided parents with meaningful access to information about programs available to them for their emerging bilingual students. These meeting helped build awareness and knowledge and promoted informed participation in making decisions for their children. The meetings gave parents a better understanding of the Consent Decree in place in the Denver Public Schools.
The project consisted of meaningful input and information provided by presenters who are knowledgeable and informed individuals of the Consent Decree. Attendees of the meetings were provided with snacks and beverages during the meetings.
